Housekeeper - Floor Care  – Health Care Center & Personal Care (Mission Point)

Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community (CKV) is currently seeking a Housekeeper to become a part of our team and help provide our residents with the highest quality of care and a clean atmosphere. This opening is for a part-time position working 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. 30 hours per week. Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. (Benefits Eligible Position)

Job Description:

As a Housekeeper- Floor Care & Projects Team Member, your scope of responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

• Working independently under consultative direction of the Director of Housekeeping & Laundry Services, Personal Care Administrator, and/or Health Care Administrator to achieve and maintain high standards that exhibit a commitment to excellence in the environmental appearance of CKV-TBHC.
• Performing regular cleaning of floors throughout Mission Point Health Care and Personal Care, including, but not limited to: common areas, dining and activity spaces, stairwells, vestibules, resident rooms and bathrooms, public bathrooms, work areas, staff lounges and break rooms, offices and kitchenettes. Frequency of cleaning is determined by flooring type, use and location. Cleaning methods include stripping and refinishing of hard surface floors, shower scrubbing, and extraction and damp buffing of carpet.
• Performing cleaning of wheelchairs, walkers and other mobility devices, as needed.
• Performing seasonal cleaning of outdoor furniture as needed in Mission Point outdoor common areas.
• Performing cleaning of decks, patios, benches and seating in Mission Point outdoor common areas, as needed in collaboration with the Grounds Department.
• Using work order management system to organize and schedule work.
• Adhering to Cross Keys Village’s safety, sanitation and infection control policies.
• Following established best practices and protocols for performing cleaning tasks. Uses provided chemicals and cleaning supplies in compliance with manufacturer's recommendations.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment. Alerting supervisor promptly when equipment repair or replacement is needed.
• Working collaboratively with other departments when scheduling cleanings. Communicating in advance about plans for cleanings with all parties involved and adapts plans as needed to accommodate residents’ schedules.

Education and Experience:

• Housekeeping experience in the Senior Living, Hospitality industry, Health Care, or a related field preferred. A working knowledge of commercial cleaning and floor care as would be acquired through a minimum of 6 months’ experience or 2-3 years general cleaning experience is preferred.
• Experience in the use of cleaning agents and demonstrates proficiency in the use/maintenance of equipment including ride-on vacuums, carpet extractors, floor burnishers, damp buffers/scrubbers, carpet extractors, wet vacs and vacuum cleaners.
