Cottage Maintenance Technician

Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community (CKV) is currently seeking a Cottage Maintenance Technician to become a part of our team to help ensure our campus is well-maintained in order to provide our residents with the highest quality of care. As a Cottage Maintenance Technician working at CKV, we will provide you with opportunities to enjoy a friendly work environment guided by Christian values.

Our current needs include:

• Full-time; working 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekends may be assigned. On-call rotation is required.

Job Description:

As a Cottage Maintenance Technician, your scope of responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

• Performing preventive maintenance tasks involving pumps, fans, heat exchangers, valves and other HVAC equipment.
• Performing major corrective maintenance on assigned air handlers, fans, coils, associated controls and other building systems.
• Maintaining assigned mechanical rooms and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Performing corrective residential repairs to sinks, toilets, dishwashers, refrigerators, hot water heaters and electrical appliances.
• Installing ceiling fans, light fixtures and plumbing fixtures as requested.
• Maintaining inventory and supplies for all types of cottage repairs.
• Responding for snow removal per CKV’s Snow Removal policy.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, trade or equivalent vocational training, or 3-5 years applicable experience in a maintenance trade.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints, good math and reading skills, and excellent customer service skills.
