Within the current and appropriate Nurse Practice Act, the LPN/RN Careleader is responsible for administration of Residents medications following proper policies and procedures. Assess resident for condition changes, while documenting appropriately in the electronic computer program. Monitor dining activities to identify concerns or changes in resident's needs. Supervises and monitor on the floor the delivery of care by Caregivers according to resident care plans, as well as any staffing conflicts or concerns that may arise. Respond to Caregivers request for assistance, correcting inappropriate or unsafe techniques. Provide input into education and improvement needs for the Caregivers. Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, team members and outside vendors. Respond positively to delegation and direction given to them from the RN Coordinator.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Working knowledge in general nursing care acquired through practical or professional nurse program and licensure in Pennsylvania. Licensed Staff Members are required to demonstrate CPR competencies. One to three years of previous work experience preferred. Continuing education as required per Community standards and state/federal regulations and to enhance professional standing and growth. Access to PHI (Protected Health Information) will be based on Director’s approval related to job responsibilities. Maintains Pennsylvania licensure as a practical nurse. Purses educational courses (seminars), pertinent to responsibilities. Maintains current CPR Competencies.
