Personal Care Attendant

- Part-time, EVENING shift - 30 hours per pay period or 60 hours per pay period: working every other weekend and every other holiday.
Provides physical and emotional support to Residents who are alert, oriented and relatively independent in accordance with CKV-TBHC procedures and state/federal regulations. Assists Residents with activities of daily living and general housekeeping. Documents observations and interventions in Residents' medical chart. Supervises self-administration of medications. Assists Personal Care Activity Coordinator. Works under the general direction of the Personal Care Administrator; receives clinical supervision from the LPN Charge Nurse. Independent judgment is frequently required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
General use and application of high school education. Working knowledge of care and understanding of elderly as would be acquired through life experiences or a minimum of 6 months experience as an Personal Care Attendant I. Continuing education as required per state/federal regulations. Proficient in basic written and verbal communication skills. Scope of job duties requires routine interpersonal contact with Residents, families and coworkers.
