Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community (CKV) is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide support for the Pastoral Care and Executive team. As an Administrative Assistant working at CKV, we will provide you with opportunities to enjoy a friendly work environment guided by Christian values.

 

This opening is for a part-time benefits eligible day shift position working 72 hours every two weeks with the ability to work some evening hours as needed.

Job Description:

As an Administrative Assistant, your scope of responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

  • Providing direct administrative assistance to the Board of Directors and their related committees, President, Chief Operating Officer and Pastoral Care Department.
  • Ensuring that documents, agendas and other materials are prepared for meetings and conferences in a proficient and timely manner.
  • Coordinating materials to include agendas, BoardEffect and the taking of minutes for Board Meetings and Board committee meetings. Taking minutes of other meetings as requested by the President or Executive team members.
  • Preparing final copy of correspondence, reports, and minutes as assigned which involves a normal range of business vocabulary, editing for spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Updating policies in accordance with TBHF and CKV-TBHC’s procedure. Coordinating and distributing yearly disclosure statements.
  • Scheduling and coordinating various prayer meetings, programs and other sessions for the Pastoral Care Department.
  • Preparing articles for internal newsletters as applicable. Completing correspondence, mail sorting and distribution, faxes, filing, photocopying, word processing and other clerical duties as necessary to communicate information from the Pastoral Care Department.
  • Cheerfully greeting in a warm manner and providing relevant information or assistance to visitors, residents, team members and vendors. Relaying messages to appropriate individuals promptly and accurately.
  • Maintaining records for the Pastoral Care office in an organized and confidential manner. Assisting Pastors with travel arrangements and the organization of special events.
  • Serving as Church Clerk, responsible for taking and recording minutes for The Faith Community of The Brethren Home at both Executive Committee and Congregation Business Meetings, along with keeping record of Church financial reports and giving.



Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional business education courses and/or 3-5 years of previous related work experience strongly preferred.
  • High level of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint required.
  • Customer service and experience working with older adults preferred.
