Groundskeeper II

Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community (CKV) is currently seeking a Groundskeeper II to become a part of our team and help ensure we maintain an attractive and safe campus for our residents, villagers, team members, and guests. This opening is for a full-time day shift position and is eligible for CKV's current Welcome Bonus! 

Job Description:
 

As a Groundskeeper II, your scope of responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

• Landscaping maintenance tasks including but not limited to: mowing, weeding, edging, spring/fall clean up, mulch installation, pruning, preparation and care of landscape beds, and leaf collection. 
• Performing snow and ice removal, garbage and recycling collection and landscape installations/renovations.
• Performing maintenance of grounds vehicles and equipment including oil changes, greasing of parts, sharpening blades and minor repairs.
• Conducting proper fertilization, disease and pest control of trees and ornamentals on campus.
• Scouting ornamental beds for weeds, undesirable insects, and diseases of ornamentals.
• Assisting with the training of new employees. 
• Leading and performing work on assigned projects and other duties
• Ensuring good customer relations and a high department image through personal contact and enforcement of quality standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent.preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• At least 2 years of experience in Horticulture/Landscape Maintenance preferred.
• Practical knowledge of plant materials, their cultural requirements, growth habits, and related horticultural best management practices.
• PA applicator certification in category 6 and category 7.
