Human Resources Specialist 

Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community (CKV) is currently seeking an outgoing and organized professional to become a part of our Human Resources team to provide a variety of clerical and administrative support to assist with the daily operations of the Human Resources department. As the Human Resources Specialist working at CKV, we will provide you with opportunities to enjoy a friendly work environment guided by Christian values. 


This opening is for a full-time, day shift position.

Job Description:

As the Human Resources Specialist your scope of responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Actively participating in the new Team Member hiring process, including but not limited to:scheduling and/or administering pre-hire screenings, preparing and completing new hire paperwork and communicating orientation expectations.
  • Coordinating CKV's status change process, including but not limited to; preparing letters, updating ID badges,requesting and following up on paperwork and communicating benefit status information.
  • Assisting the Benefits/Risk Manager in benefits and Pension Plan administration in accordance with plan design and third party record keeping.
  • Answering questions regarding benefits, eligibility, and other pertinent information.
  • Examining Team Members files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions.
  • Answering questions and explaining policies, procedures and benefits to Team Members and/or job applicants.
  • Assisting with and/or administering special projects; helping develop, implementing and maintaining goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned projects and service areas.
  • Assisting with recognition programs and special events, including Team Members generated activities.


Education and Experience:
 

  • Associates degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent work related experience is preferred. 
  • Must have working knowledge and familiarity with Human Resources practice. 
  • Must have strong computer, communication and customer service skills.
