Mechanic 

Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community (CKV) is currently seeking a mechanical professional to maintain and repair all CKV owned grounds equipment and transportation vehicles. As a Mechanic working at CKV, we will provide you with opportunities to enjoy a friendly work environment guided by Christian values.


This opening is for a Full-time Monday through Friday position, with the flexibility to alter schedule when needed to assist with snow removal or other unexpected circumstances or events.

Job Description: 

As a Mechanic, your scope of responsibilities will include but is not limited to:
 

• Maintaining all vehicles and equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Keeping records of mileage and service dates to assure that all vehicles are serviced at the appropriate time.
• Keeping records of all inspection dates to be sure that all inspections are current. Performing state inspections on all of CKV vehicles to ensure that they meet State and Federal regulations.
• Ensure the maintenance repair shop is neat and orderly.
• Maintaining inventory of basic supplies necessary in the routine repair and servicing of vehicles.
• Ensure mowing equipment is in good working order.
• Following emergency procedures and responding rapidly and appropriately to emergencies ensuring the safety of the Residents and Team Members.
• Working cooperatively and productively with others, including Residents, Families and other Team Members. May provide training, leadership and/or coordinate activities of other Team Members.
• Ensure proper warranty record keeping on all grounds equipment and CKV vehicles.
• Maintaining all required Department of Transportation and State required records on buses and other vehicles owned and operated by CKV. 
• Interacting with State and Federal agencies to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation regulation and state inspection ordinance. 

Education and Experience:
 

• Must have a wide range of mechanical experience, preferably from small engines to large vehicles, such as vans and buses. 
• Must possess a Category III Pennsylvania Inspection License.
• Must possess a valid CDL license.
