Medical Assistance Specialist

Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community (CKV) is currently seeking a Medical Assistance Specialist to become a part of our team and help support the Accounting Office. As a Medical Assistance Specialist working at CKV, we will provide you with opportunities to enjoy a friendly work environment guided by Christian values.

• Full-time: Day shift working 75 hours per pay period.

Job Description:

As a Medical Assistance Specialist, your scope of responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

• Coordinating Medical Assistance and Limited Resource Programs between residents/family/POAs and various government agencies.
• Meeting with residents and family members to compile financial records and prepare applications, appeal denial notices and inform fellow team members of approvals received for pay or status and CMI purposes.
• Coordinating and processing Representative Payee forms with Social Security Administration.
• Researching issues for Medical Assistance billing in conjunction with the Billing Team.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of PA Medical Assistance and Medicare regulations preferred.
• Must possess the ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Should be proficient in math skills, the operation of a calculator and Microsoft Office.
