Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community (CKV) is currently seeking a Network Technician to become a part of our Information Services team to assist with providing technical support to residents, villagers and team members. As a Network Technician working at CKV, we will provide you with opportunities to enjoy a friendly work environment guided by Christian values.

 

This opening is for a full-time position working 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Ability to cover after-hours service calls remotely or on-site as needed.

Job Description:

As a Network Technician, your scope of responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

  • Receiving, recording, and responding to requests for technical support in a timely manner to ensure high customer satisfaction of Team Members, Residents, and Villagers.
  • Maintaining hardware asset inventory. Collecting and verifying information relating to network devices and infrastructure; including model description, serial number, property tag number, port number, etc. Reporting all findings and update network documentation as required.
  • Creating and maintaining user instructions, network documentation, etc.
  • Performing cable installations including fiber/copper terminations, cable management and Main/Intermediate distribution facility preventive maintenance.
  • Installing and troubleshooting Resident and Villagers computers, printers, TVs, TiVos, smartphones and other residential related network/computer devices.
  • Performing operational support of the campus phone system through extension moves/adds/deletes, CDR system management, caller ID database and 911 database management. 
  • Working with vendors, contractors, consultants, auditors and various departments to ensure proper implementation of computer/network solutions, compliance with various health regulations and overall technology/business productivity.
  • May assist with computer training for new users. 
 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in a computer related field or a two year comparable education is preferred.
  • Two years of experience supporting and maintaining computer systems is preferred.
